Your AYSO Region 571 Coach Toolkit (click the link above) contains most of the information you’ll need to be a successful coach, but the volume of information, especially for new coaches, can be overwhelming.  See below for a checklist of all the key steps in a successful season.  Each of these steps is supported in the Toolkit with helpful hints, links to online resources, and even sample emails you can use to communicate with parents! 
- Register as a volunteer
- Complete the online training
- Attend beginning-of-season Coaches Meeting [receive team roster and equipment from Age Group Coordinator, select practice field]
- Review Coaching materials
- Set practice schedule (8U and above)
- Reach out to parents
- Coach weekly practices and games
- Communicate weekly with parents (all age groups) and refs (10U and above)
- Attend end-of-season Coaches Meeting
- Provide player feedback after season end
